Crystal Prospect
fluorescent SPHALERITE in CALCITE - Sterling Hill, New Jersey, USA
Orange and pink LW SW fluorescing Sphalerite with black Franklinite-Magnetite (magnetic, an exsolution of the two minerals), olive-green Diopside, and small amounts of green SW fluorescing Willemite in red SW / pink LW fluorescing Calcite with some odd cream colored LW fluorescence.
Sphalerite is short lived phosphorescent; its subdued orange SW response is difficult to see with the surrounding brighter red fluorescing Calcite.

To show the fluorescent response the specimen was illuminated using 6 watt 254nm (Short Wave) / 366nm (Long Wave) UVGL-58 lamp (you need a proper UV light source to observe the fluorescence, more powerful lamp = brighter response).
